SEMDC provide a wide range of services for members which is totally unique to Scotland and the Deaf ethnic minority community.

Funded by The National Lottery – Improving Lives, we provide advocacy and communication support.  Wellbeing workshops help reduce social isolation and promote positive thinking to increase confidence and self-esteem. 

Our GCVS funded Men’s Group is taking off, big style!  As the men venture out and explore new sports together, they also are focussed on men’s health issues.  Intergenerational working is key to the success of this group, #mankind #man2man

Funded by Scottish Government’s Equality and Human Rights Fund, and supported by Inspiring Scotland, we are in our 4th year of providing employability and welfare rights support. Our members have more access to equal opportunities and are more involved in things that are important to them.

We see more members exploring new job goals, recognising their strengths and witness a huge increase in confidence levels.  We are very proud of our progress, both organisationally and especially of those particpating on the programme.
